About Deborah: She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She is the proud mama of her furbaby, Beau, a 6-year-old Dogo Argentino. She’s blessed to still have her mom with her, her brother and extended family. And four years ago, God in His infinite wisdom blessed her with a best friend. Home Parish: She belongs to St. Ann Catholic Church in San Antonio, Texas. First ACTS Retreat and Service: Her first Women's Retreat was in 2004 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Helotes. Between 2005-2015 at St. James the Apostle in San Antonio, she served as a team member on Women's and Spanish Women's teams, and as a team member, Director, and Spiritual Companion for Teens. She served on Core for one year as the Retreat Supply Coordinator. In 2017, she had the privilege of directing a Women's mission team to Sandusky, Ohio. Fun Facts: Two fun facts, both one-time events: She danced Ballet Folklorico for a year in the late 1990s and completed a marathon in 2002 to raise money for the American Diabetes Association. Favorite Scripture/Saint: Her favorite scripture is Romans 5:5, "and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us." Her favorite saint is St. Catherine of Siena, Doctor of the Church - God to Catherine in Dialogue, Ch. 11: "What I want is many works of patient and courageous endurance and of the other virtues I have described to you - interior virtues that are all active in bearing the fruit of grace."
